Mantravine brings you a night of magic at everyone’s favourite new bookstore and cafe in Chinatown, The Moon. Ancient mantras, electrifying guitar, funky trombone, heart moving violin and spacey frequencies come together for a one-night-only show where you are invited for an intimate and interactive living room styled chill session. Learn the art of songwriting, enjoy a performance and record an artistic piece of your own.
ACT 1 : THE ART OF SONGWRITING
The band will kick off the evening with some interactive songwriting. Get involved in creating a song from scratch using elements of African music. Ask questions and discover their secret dynamics of how intuitively simple and joyful the art of mixing electronic beats and live instruments can be. No musical knowledge is required and all are welcomed to participate.
ACT 2: MAGIC OF LIVE PERFORMANCE
An intimate live performance from the band will follow, but beware! The music is not commercial and can cause wild spasms of loopy delight. You will be invited to make new connections and step outside of your comfort zone.
ACT 3: SHARE YOUR ART WITH MUSIC
The audience will be invited to participate in the last segment to co-create with the band. Song, dance, poetry, spoken word or even a story about your day ... all are welcome. Shed your fears in this no-judgement zone and let us support you as you express yourself. We'll attempt to get audio recordings so you can have a copy for your own usage :)
